Take time out to deeply listen to your body. Learn ways of noticing more subtle signals from your body and why it’s important to pay attention to them.  Explore how your body language can shape and change your mood. Pick up practical tips to feel more connected with your body and mind.

In this workshop, you’ll do this by learning more about the concept of embodiment.  We explore practical ways to feel more embodied and how this can change how you experience life.  You’ll investigate these concepts first-hand, by tuning into physical sensations and reactions within your body.  There will be opportunities to reflect on your experiences, helping you to gain a deeper understanding of embodiment.

Are you curious to learn more?

You might already have lots of ways to connect with your body through yoga, dance or other movement-based or creative pursuits.   We might be great at feeling embodied during these practices but may struggle to experience embodiment at other times in our everyday lives.

What to expect

There’ll be a mixture of time for discussing concepts, and for practical experience through movement and seated breathing / mindful practices. 

Movements will be simple – walking, standing or holding a position for a few minutes. You will be able to do the movement practice sitting or standing.

The 2-hour morning session will be broken down into:-

  • 3 x theory / discussion / reflection
  • 2 x movement practice
  • 1 x mindful / breathing practice

I’m really passionate about supporting people to reconnect with their body’s wisdom, in simple, practical ways that are quick and effective.  I believe when we live a more embodied life, we have greater awareness and the ability to make choices that support what we truly need.
